Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" area. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of different communities. People who have never heard of it often think it is a separate, west-facing island. It is often cited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was not long. Brugel was raised in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. She initially wanted to pursue a career as an actress However, following a dramatic increase in size, her friends weren't able to dance with her. In an interview with the Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels I'm 6 feet 1 inches." After I became too big for my male friends, I quit.
